Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: After weeks of intense campaigning and single-phase voting on February 5, all eyes are now on the much-awaited results of the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections. The results, set to be announced on Saturday, February 8, will shape the political landscape of the national capital for the next five years. A total of 699 candidates are competing across 70 assembly constituencies in Delhi, with the elections witnessing a three-way contest between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Indian National Congress (INC).
1/10In this high-stakes election, the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is aiming for a third consecutive term in power after enjoyed significant victories in the last two elections (2015 and 2020), while the BJP is aggressively vying to reclaim control after a 27-year gap. On the other hand, Congress, which once dominated Delhi with a 15-year rule, is trying to revive its fortunes and regain a foothold in the national capital.
2/10The vote counting for all 70 Delhi assembly seats will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, February 8. The counting process will start with postal ballots, followed by Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

4/10AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal seeks a fourth consecutive win in the New Delhi constituency. He faces BJP’s Parvesh Verma and Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit, both sons of former chief ministers. In the 2020 elections, Kejriwal won this seat with a margin of 21,687 votes.
5/10Manish Sisodia, former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, is making his electoral debut from Jangpura. He is up against BJP’s Sardar Tarvinder Singh Marwah and Congress’ Farhad Suri. AAP won this seat in both the 2015 and 2020 elections.
6/10Delhi Chief Minister Atishi is contesting fiercely against Congress’ Alka Lamba and BJP’s former MP Ramesh Bidhuri. Atishi had won this seat in 2020 with a margin of 11,393 votes.
7/10The Chhatarpur constituency is seeing a "battle of the Tanwars". AAP’s Brahm Singh Tanwar is contesting against BJP’s Kartar Singh Tanwar and Congress’ Rajender Singh Tanwar. Interestingly, Kartar, who had won on an AAP ticket in 2020, switched to the BJP last year and is now its candidate.
