Delhi Assembly Elections: On February 5, 2025, Delhi will hold its Assembly elections to select representatives for its 70 constituencies. To ease voter participation, several institutions and establishments across Delhi will remain closed. While essential services will continue to operate as usual. Hospitals, pharmacies, and other critical healthcare facilities will remain open to provide medical needs.

Liquor shops and licensed establishments will be closed from 6:00 PM on February 3 until 6:00 PM on February 5, according to Election Commission guidelines aimed at maintaining public order during the election period.
Government office closures: The Delhi government has declared a public holiday on February 5, 2025. All government offices, local/autonomous bodies, and public sector undertakings under the government National Capital Territory of Delhi are to remain shut on the day of voting, that is 5 February.

The campaigning For Delhi Assembly Polls ended on Monday (February 4). Now to elect the new government in the national capital, the voting for 70 Assembly seats will take place on February 5, 2025. The results will be announced on February 8. All 70 seats of Delhi will vote in a single phase on February 5. Several high-profile candidates have participated in the race for the Delhi Assembly seats. BJP has put forward, Parvesh Verma, a former member of Parliament and son of the former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh, and the congress party has nominated Sandeep Dixit, the son of the former Delhi CM Sheila Dixit. The AAP party led by Arvind Kejriwal won the last two Delhi elections, that was in 2015, and 2020. The votes of the Delhi election will be counted on February 8, hence the result day.
