Following US President Donald Trump’s October 10 announcement to impose a 100 per cent tariff on Chinese imports, the global crypto market plunged sharply, erasing billions in value within hours.
According to on-chain data, more than $19 billion in leveraged crypto positions were wiped out in just 24 hours, marking one of the steepest sell-offs in the digital asset market’s history. Meanwhile, on the MCX, gold futures surged to Rs 1,25,640 per 10 grams and silver touched Rs 1,58,912 per kilogram, as of today.

A day after the crash, Kiyosaki took to X to remind followers of his earlier predictions about the “biggest crash in world history,” as outlined in his 2002 book Rich Dad’s Prophecy.
“REMINDER: I predicted the biggest crash in world history was coming in my book Rich Dad’s Prophecy. That crash will happen this year. Baby Boom Retirements are going to be wiped out. Many boomers will be homeless or living in their kids’ basement. Sad.”
The 78-year-old financial educator reiterated his belief that saving in fiat currencies is futile amid high inflation.
“REMINDER: I have been warning anyone who would listen not to save printed assets. Invest in real assets.”
