A popular saying goes, "Ayodhya is the greatest city, where Lord Ram was born." Devotees have proven this true. On Republic Day, a massive crowd of devotees gathered in Ayodhya, surprising everyone. Ram Lalla broke its records, with over 25 lakh devotees visiting in just 30 hours. More devotees are still arriving. Most of them are visiting Ram Lalla and Hanuman Garhi temples. It's expected that Ayodhya will remain crowded with devotees until the upcoming Amavasya and Basant Panchami festivals.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had predicted that Ayodhya would see a large number of devotees, similar to the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. Therefore, he instructed officials to ensure that devotees visiting Ayodhya do not face any difficulties.
Following the Chief Minister's instructions, the district administration is on high alert. Officials, including Commissioner Gaurav Dayal, IG Praveen Kumar, and District Magistrate Chandravijay Singh, are constantly monitoring the situation and making arrangements for crowd management.
Despite the government's efforts to widen roads in Ayodhya, considering the massive crowd of devotees to the Ram Temple, the city's streets are still jam-packed. The newly constructed Ram Path, built at a cost of crores, similar to Delhi's Kartavya Path, is also overflowing with devotees.
The roads leading to the Ram Temple, Janmabhoomi Path, Bhakti Path to Hanuman Garhi, and Dharm Path are all overcrowded with devotees. Every passageway in Ayodhya is packed with people, making it difficult to navigate the city.
To manage the increasing number of devotees visiting the Ram Temple, the trust had initially arranged for devotees to exit from Angad Teela. However, due to the unexpected surge in crowds, the exit route has been extended to include Gate Number 3 as well.
Plus, a new lane has been created to accommodate the over 1.5 km long queue of devotees waiting to visit Hanuman Garhi.
To manage the huge crowd of devotees, the district administration has made excellent arrangements for accommodation and crowd control. Considering the upcoming Mauni Amavasya, large vehicles are being diverted, and entry of vehicles into Ayodhya has already been restricted.
Decorations have been put up at major intersections to welcome devotees.
The administration is working hard to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all visitors.
To ensure the safety of devotees, the police have made elaborate security arrangements around the Ram Temple and Hanuman Garhi.
