Lunar Eclipse 2022 in India date and time, visible, Chandra Grahan 2022 in date and time November: India is all set to witness the second and last Lunar Eclipse of 2022. This will be the total lunar eclipse. The next total lunar eclipse will occur on March 14, 2025, according to NASA.

Also known as Chandra Grahan in India, the total Lunar eclipse would be visible only from eastern parts whereas Partial eclipse would be visible from most of India. The lunar eclipse on November 8 can be seen in places like Kolkata, Siliguri, Patna, Ranchi and Guwahati. Total Lunar Eclipse 2022 would be visible in well-known cities like Kathmandu, Tokyo, Manila, Beijing, Sydney, Jakarta, Melbourne, San Francisco, Washington D.C., New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Mexico City.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned with Earth between the other two, which can happen only on the night of a full moon when the Moon is near either lunar node.
