IndiGo Cancelled Flight Refund Rules: IndiGo passengers are facing major travel disruption as the airline’s operations continue to remain strained for the fourth straight day. The situation has caused long delays, large-scale cancellations and a sharp jump in airfares on several domestic routes.
Several airports, including Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad, have cancelled many IndiGo services since Thursday. Delhi Airport has stopped all IndiGo departures from the capital for the day. Other major airports have also dropped multiple 6E flights, leaving thousands of travellers rushing to change plans.
The airline has linked the disruption to new Flight Duty Time norms for crew members. IndiGo has also warned that more cancellations and delays may occur through the day. With a large number of flights affected, passengers are now looking for refund and rebooking options.
Yes. Travellers can claim a full refund if IndiGo cancels the flight or does not operate it as scheduled. They can also choose to rebook on the next available flight at no extra cost.
Under DGCA rules, even passengers holding non-refundable or promotional tickets must get back all taxes and statutory airport charges if they do not travel. Refunds must be processed to the original mode of payment. For tickets booked through travel agents or other portals, the refund will be issued through the same channel.
If the airline is responsible for the delay or cancellation, the passenger has the right to demand a refund or opt for rebooking. DGCA guidelines also make it mandatory for airlines to process refunds within the stipulated time.
Here is a clear, step-by-step guide for travellers affected by the disruption.

Visit the IndiGo website or mobile app.
Open Manage Booking and enter your PNR and last name.
