Bigg Boss Season 16, Mismatched and more: Top movies and web series lined up in October on major OTT platforms

While an array of delicious content is already streaming on multiple OTT platforms, October has a host of new releases lined up. From the Salman Khan-hosted reality show - Big Boss16 - coming back, to the release of much-awaited Madhuri Dixit-starrer Maja Ma, October is full of even more new upcoming shows and movie releases on OTT platforms that are fit for binge-watching.

Let's take a quick look at the latest upcoming OTT releases on — Zee5, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Hotstar and Sony Liv.

Mismatched Season 2 (Netflix)

Starring Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf, Vihaan Samat, Mismatched Season 2 releases on October 14. After a disastrous set-up by their families, the story follows two teens strike up a tentative friendship at their summer program — but deeper feelings aren’t far behind.

Mismatched is the adaptation of Sandhya Menon’s bestseller, "When Dimple Met Rishi." Season 1 of the series was released back in 2020.

Maja Ma (Amazon Prime)

Directed by Anand Tiwari, starring Madhuri Dixit, Gajraj Rao and Ritwik Bhowmik, the drama is set to release on October 6. The 3-minute trailer has already been released on Amazon Prime.

Maja Ma is a warm, funny story set in Baroda about a loving mother who unwittingly becomes a hurdle to her son's marriage plans and contests societal norms.

Big Boss Season 16 (Voot)

The sixteenth season of the reality show- 'Big Boss' is set to air from October 1. Salman Khan-hosted reality show has an 'Upside down' theme this year. Fans may watch the first day, first show on Voot.

Eesho (Sony Liv)

The upcoming Indian Malayalam-language thriller film, directed by Nadirsha is set to release on October 5. The film has Namitha Pramod in the lead role.

The film will be released in 5 languages--Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Tripling Season 3 (Zee5)

The series starring Sumit Vyas in the lead role along with Maanvi Gagroo and Amol Parashar, is set to release soon on ZEE5. The streaming platform confirmed the same via a tweet. Zee5 tweeted, "Dekho! Dekho woh aa gaye! #Tripling New Season Coming Soon!" The confirmed date is yet to be announced.
