Taking the next stride in boosting regional aerial connectivity in India under RCS-UDAN (Regional Connectivity Scheme – Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) of the Government of India, the second direct flight commenced operations on Friday from Hyderabad, Telangana to Nashik, Maharashtra.

Regional Connectivity Scheme, popularly known as UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) services, would soon cover global destinations through International UDAN as the government is making efforts to expand its wings to provide airline travelers more opportunity to enjoy international spots at a cheap price of just Rs 2500.

The plan may be initiated from Assam RCS airports, where the travelers will be provided air connectivity for places like Bangkok, Thailand, and Kathmandu, sources said, adding that the same facility would also be available from airports in Bihar to connect international places including Nepal, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Chennai, however, may not get connected to Singapore.
