Is X (Twitter) down?&nbsp;X (formerly known as Twitter) was down for thousands of users in India on Monday, February 16. As of around 8:15 pm IST, users in several parts of the country were unable to access the microblogging and social networking service owned by Elon Musk's X Corp.

According to Downdetector, complaints started surfacing around quarter to 11 am IST with over 4,000 users reporting the glitch. Globally, 73,800 problem reports poured in on the outage, at its peak.

According to Musk, now non-verified users of Twitter will be able to read only one thousand tweets in a day. At the same time, verified accounts will have the facility to read 10,000 tweets.
