The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has announced an export quota of 5,841 metric tonnes (MT) of sugar to the European Union (EU) for the year 2025-26.

"...The Government of India has approved a 10 lakh tonne sugar export quota for 2024-25," Food Minister Pralhad Joshi said in a post on X.

Sugar export ban in India news:&nbsp;The raw sugar, white sugar, refined sugar, and organic sugar are under export restrictions. The restriction is, however, not applicable to sugar being exported to the EU and the US under the concession (CXL) and TRQ quota as was announced last year.
