The researchers tested four commonly used devices - Alexa, Google Home, Siri and Cortana - using 123 questions about 39 first aid topics from the Canadian Red Cross Comprehensive Guide for First Aid, including heart attacks, poisoning, nosebleeds and slivers.

Apple may finally allow Siri support for Spotify: Report

iPhone users may finally be able to instruct Siri to play their favorite songs from Spotify, according to recent business development between Apple and the music streaming service. Apple and Spotify are in talks to finalise a plan that will allow iPhone users tell Siri to play songs, playlists, albums with voice commands, according to people familiar with the discussions, The Information reports. In March, Spotify had filed a complaint with European competition authorities against Apple for blocking it from working with Siri. It also argues that other Apple policies create an unfair advantage for its competing Apple Music service.

Apple iOS 13 uses Siri to silence spam calls

At the recently concluded WWDC 2019, Apple announced its latest iOS 13 for iPhone and iPad. The new software includes a range of updates and enhancements, including a smarter Siri. In iOS 13, Apple has added a new setting in the Phone app that uses Siri intelligence to prevent spam callers from bothering you. As explained on the iOS 13 preview page, when enabled, only those calls will ring which are from numbers in Contacts, Mail, and Messages. All other calls will be automatically sent to voicemail.

Apple to stop Siri from reading hidden lock screen notifications

As a result of the bug, Siri can read out notification content, even those that are hidden, from a wide selection of apps when someone asks the assistant to do so without verifying whether the command was coming from the owner of the device. The problem was reported by Brazilian website MacMagazine earlier this week.
