Here is full text of what RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan's said during the bi-monthly monetary policy review.
The repo rate now stands at 6.5%, down from 8.75% in January last year.
While many experts expect no change in interest rates by Rajan this time around, there are chances that he could surprise many as he has done so twice in the past year and half .
According to Reuters last year, reducing rates during the monsoon season, running from mid-June through September, was unusual for the RBI. It had tended to be on the defensive against food price pressures after disappointing rains.
