Windfall tax on crude:&nbsp;The petroleum ministry on Wednesday raised the windfall tax on domestically produced crude to Rs 6,800 per tonne from Rs 4,900 per tonne. However, the windfall tax remains zero for diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF). It is the fifth raise in windfall tax by the government since February.&nbsp;

OMCs stocks:&nbsp;Crude oil prices are rising to a five-month high and the reflection of these changes may be seen on petrol/diesel prices in the near future. The government increased windfall gain tax on domestic crude oil exports from Rs 1300 per tonne to Rs 2300 per tonne. The additional export duty on diesel and ATF has also been reduced to zero.
