At the market close, the BSE Sensex was up 515.31 points or 0.81 per cent to 59,332.6 and Nifty50 was up 124.25 points or 0.71 per cent to 17,659.
At the market open, the BSE Sensex was up 503.16 points or 0.86 per cent to 59320.4 and Nifty50 was up 176.9 points or 1.01 per cent to 17711.7.

At the market close, the BSE Sensex slipped by 35.78 points or 0.06 per cent to 58,817.29, while Nifty50 gained by 9.65 points or 0.06 per cent to 17,534.75.
The Indian markets started Wednesday’s session on a positive note defying weak global markets, as Sensex jumped almost 125 points and Nifty50 opened 17550-mark, led by Auto, FMCG, and Pharma stocks.
On Monday, the benchmarks closed with nearly a per cent as Nifty50 added 127.6 (0.73%) to end at 17,525.10, while the Sensex gained 465.14 points or 0.80% to settle at 58,853.07.

According to Motilal Oswal, “Among Nifty companies, only five heavyweights closed lower in July – ONGC, Dr Reddy’s Lab, Reliance Industries, HCL Technologies and Bharti Airtel each down between 1-11 per cent; while 29 stocks in Nifty50 outperformed the benchmark during the previous month.

The market rally was mainly led by strong global cues after the US Federal Reserve hiked key interest rate by 75 basis points and positive commentary by US Fed Chair Jeremy Powell on Wednesday.
Indian market started Thursday’s session with a gain of nearly 1 per cent following positive global cues. The BSE Sensex surged over 450 points, while Nifty50 opened above the 16750-level, led by metals, banking, and financial stocks.
The Nifty50 gained by 157 points to end at 16,641.8, while the Sensex surged by almost 550 points to settle at 55,816 level on Wednesday.
