As the BJP assured its return to power at centre, party’s national general secretary Ram Madhav celebrated BJP’s victory in Delhi’s Khan Market. During the last update, the BJP had won 202 seats and was leading in 101 seats. Congress on the other had won 39 seats was leading on 13 seats.
Hema Malini, Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate for Mathura parliamentary seat, won the Lok Sabha seat by 293471 votes. She defeated Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Kunwar Narendra Singh, who is the joint opposition candidate of the ‘mahagathbandhan’ in Uttar Pradesh. BJP has taken an unassailable lead in the Lok Sabha elections, and assured its return to power at centre.
