Highways authority NHAI successfully cleared loans amounting to Rs 15,700 crore ahead of the due date, leading to estimated savings of around Rs 1,000 crore in interest. The pre-payment brought down NHAI's overall outstanding debt liability to around Rs 3,20,000 crore, according to an official release.
