Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Wednesday took potshots at Ashok Gehlot over the praise the Rajasthan Chief Minister received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pilot, addressing media at his residence in Jaipur, said: “It’s interesting that the PM praised (CM) yesterday. It mustn’t be taken lightly. Ghulam Nabi Azad, who recently parted ways with the Congress, on Monday launched his new party -- the Democratic Azad party (DAP). The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister had ended his more than five-decade-long association with the Congress on August 26.

In his five-page letter to Sonia Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad singled out Rahul Gandhi, saying he had ‘demolished’ the ‘consultative mechanism’ in the Congress and let a ‘new coterie’ of ‘inexperienced sycophants’ run the party.
