In Q4, the company posted consolidated net profit of Rs 462.22 crore, rising by 10.40% compared to Rs 418.70 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Abneesh Roy, Tanmay Sharma and Alok Shah analysts at Edelweiss Financial Services said, “Demonetisation led to impact of INR1bn during Q4CY16 and we beleive that impact will recede in Q1CY17 significantly. Owing to the Maggi issue in the base, Nestle will see better growth rate and we expect revenue growth of ~12% YoY in Q1CY17 on base of dip of 8.7% YoY."
A ICICI Securities report stated that after note ban, overall decorative paint companies are expected to post high single-digit volume growth in the March quarter, except South, which may see only low single-digit growth in Q4.
