According to the weather department, very dense to dense fog will also prevail during the night and early morning hours until January 6.

Cold wave sustained in Srinagar as the city recoded minimum temperature of 2 degrees Celsius on February 25. Several other towns in the Kashmir Valley experienced similar weather conditions. Despite cold weather, tourists are seen enjoying the winter season in Dal Lake.

Dense fog enveloped the national capital on January 03 as cold wave gripped the city. According to IMD, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 8 Degrees Celsius.

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), smog and dense fog conditions are likely to intensify due to the predominant surface winds from the north wind direction. 
A pedestrian said that the temperatures in the city were expected to drop in the coming days.

Delhi suffers from low visibility due to cold wave

Dense fog gripped Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on January 23rd, causing delays and cancellations to several flights. Passengers faced inconvenience, waiting with luggage as visibility remained low. With the minimum temperature dipping to 7°C and a maximum of 18°C expected, the wintry conditions further amplified the travel disruptions.
