Maruti sold 17,432 units of utility vehicles which included Gypsy, Ertiga, S-cross, Vitara and Brezza. This was a rise of 89% from 9236 units of utility vehicles sold in the same month of the previous year.&nbsp;

In addition to strenghtening its leadership in the 100-110 cc motorcycle category with the recent launch of Splendor iSmart 110, Hero has also further consolidated its leadership in the 125 cc space with the largest selling motorcycle in the segment of 'Glamour'.

While passenger vehicles have registered a 7.5% growth during the April to August in FY18, it is a little lower to 11.3% growth in the same period in FY17.
