Samsung M35 Review: Samsung seems to be on a roll with various launches spanning several segments. With the launch of Samsung M35 5G, the Korean tech giant is slated to leave a mark in the sub-Rs. 25,000 category. The device comes with some standout features, including a 6,000mAh battery, enhanced display, NFC support, and more. We shall delve deep into the updates and features of this device to analyse its worthiness.
Samsung M35 Review: Design
Sporting a minimalistic design, the Samsung M35 5G features a triple-camera setup in three individual rounded modules. You can find the company logo at the bottom. Weighing 222g with a thickness of 9.1mm, the device is on the heavier side, but the weight feels uniformly distributed. The bulkier profile can be attributed to the large 6,000mAh battery. At the bottom, there’s a USB-C port for charging, while the volume rockers are placed to the right.

The power button itself acts as the fingerprint scanner, while there’s no 3.5mm jack this time. You can get the Samsung M35 5G in three colour variants: Dark Blue, Grey, and Light Blue.
Samsung M35 Review: Display
The Samsung M35 5G features a 6.6-inch full HD+ with a 2,340 x 1,080 resolution. The display is buttery smooth with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and it is adequately bright, thanks to the 1000nits peak brightness. Furthermore, the device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, enhancing its physical durability. For multimedia lovers, the smartphone covers all the bases with dual speakers andDolby Atmos support. However, the smartphone could’ve minimised the bezels further to make it more competitive in the segment. It does, however, enjoy absolute dominance when it comes to natural colour reproduction on the display.
Samsung M35 Review: Samsung has made several changes, using its own Exynos 1380 SoC, which is a clear improvement over its predecessor. On performance benchmarks, the device fares well among the other devices in the sub-Rs. 25,000 segment. If your smartphone expectations include content watching, social media browsing, capturing photos, the device can be considered a decent performer. For gaming, the device can be deemed good, if not the best. Giving credit where it's due, the device’s heat management is a nice proposition at this price. The smartphone runs on One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. The Samsung M35 5G will receive four years of major software updates and an additional year of security patches, which bolsters its technical durability.
Samsung M35 Review: Cameras
This smartphone boasts a triple camera setup, which is a rarity in this segment. The device has a 50MP primary sensor with autofocus, backed by an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 2MP macro sensor. The cameras maintain good colours, but contrast takes a back seat. The outputs do appear vibrant, but the details are not adequately represented.

Under daylight, the outputs are good but not entirely free of noise. In low light, the colours are efficiently represented but again, details seem to take a toll, although it maintains a significant dynamic range. The portrait photos are decent. For selfies, there’s a 13MP shooter, which captures good photos, if not the best, while in low light, it struggles to offer accurate colours.
Samsung M35 Review: Battery
The Samsung M35 is equipped with a powerful 6,000mAh battery, which is a real-life monster. The device easily lasts for a day even under intensive usage scenarios. However, given that competitors are reducing the charging times considerably, the slow charging functionality is a significant downside, taking over 100 minutes to fully charge the battery. Also, typical of Samsung, the CHARGER is NOT in the BOX.
Samsung M35 Review: Verdict
The Samsung M35 is a durable device with a sturdy build for physical durability and four years of software updates for technical longevity. Other features like NFC, long battery life, and triple camera setup are significant selling points. Nonetheless, some users might remain apprehensive about its slow charging speed, average camera quality and non-gaming device status. But despite all the odds, durability might help it sail against the tide.
Samsung M35 Review: Pros and Cons
Samsung M35Pros:
