MWC 2019: From Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G to Huawei Mate X 5G, check top smartphones launched

MWC 2019: Xiaomi, LG, Huawei launched their 5G smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. Xiaomi unveiled Mi Mix 3 5G phone at Rs 48,258, while Huawei launched Mate X ''fastest'' 5G foldable phone at Rs 1.85 lakh. LG also unveiled V50ThinQ 5G smartphone at the event. Besides that, Nokia launched Nokia 9 PureView smartphone with five-camera array.

Xiaomi unveils Mi Mix 3 5G phone starting at Rs 48,258

MWC 2019: Launching its products for the first time at 2019 MWC, Xiaomi on Sunday unveiled its maiden 5G smartphone -- Mi Mix 3 5G -- starting at euro 599  or Rs 48,258. The Mi Mix 3 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, paired with the chipmaker`s AX50 5G modem, Donovan Sung, Director, Product Management, Xiaomi, told reporters in Barcelona.

The smartphone maker also launched its first three-camera phone -- Mi 9 -- for European markets starting at euro 449 or Rs 36,174, according to an IANS report. Xiaomi claimed that Mi 9, launched in China on Wednesday, supports a 20 watts wireless charging that can fully charge the device in 90 minutes.

Huawei unveils Mate X ''fastest'' 5G foldable phone at Rs 1.85 lakh

Chinese technology giant Huawei on Sunday unveiled its much-anticipated and most talked-about Mate X 5G foldable phone at euro 2,299 (about Rs 1.85 lakh). Powered by the company`s Kirin 980 processor, Mate X comes with 6.6-inch dual display panel and offers a FullView display. When unfolded, it transforms into an 8-inch tablet only 5.4mm thick, according to an IANS report.

It houses massive 4,500 mAH dual battery and several industry-first features including a new superfast charging capability that can reach 85 per cent battery in just 30 minutes.

South Korea’s LG Electronics unveiled a 5G smartphone on Sunday with a dual screen, the latest handset maker to pitch a new design feature in an effort to revive flagging sales, according to Reuters. The two screens on the new V50ThinQ work independently, so a user can watch a film on one screen while browsing the Internet on the other.

LG smartphones -- LG V50 and G8 -- were displayed at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona.
