Instant messaging platform WhatsApp has been testing many new features to enhance user experience including blocking of frequently forwarded messages and ability to send 30 audio files at once. Both these features were spotted in the beta version by WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo. "WhatsApp has recently enabled the new 'audio picker' with the possibility to play the audio before sending it and to select more audio files to send," WABetaInfo reported earlier this week. Now, it has been reported that the app is testing another feature that would make your vacations more fun. WhatsApp is testing a 'Vacation Mode' that comes as a relief for most users.
The feature was spotted last year and has now been seen on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.101. Vacation Mode is now called 'Ignore archived chats' which will apparently stop archived chats from being unarchived when a new message arrives. The feature would allow you to shut the messages out of your life without having to exit a WhatsApp group. Ignore archived chats prevents both muted and regular chats from leaving the archive until the user takes an action. This will essentially make it easier to temporarily ignore certain conversations and not fill up your chats screen.

Send 30 audio files at once
Till now, WhatsApp users were only allowed to send one audio file at a time. But, the app has added a new feature as part of the 2.19.89 beta update which allows users to send 30 files at once. Apart from this, WhatsApp is also working on the much-awaited iPad support that is being tested with features including Touch ID support, split-screen and landscape mode.
The platform is also trying to reduce the spread of misinformation. For this, it has recently introduced "Forwarding Info" and "Frequently Forwarded" features that let you view who is forwarding your messages and the frequency of forwarded messages. The label appears on the message if it has been forwarded more than four times. In 2.19.86 beta update, WhatsApp has also empowered group admins to block frequently forwarded messages. The admin can choose to allow participants to send frequently forwarded messages to the group with "Allow" and "Don't allow" options.
