WhatsApp stickers: Just see what Telegram has done for Android and iOS users

Telegram has just released two sticker pack apps for WhatsApp, which has two days ago officially announced support for Stickers on its platform. This feature has long been present on Telegram, which is a cloud-based messaging and VoIP platform. Both the messaging platforms are rivals and had this one big difference between. 
 
The sticker pack apps come with multiple packs to ensure that all WhatsApp users can add these packs. Telegram has launched the apps both on iOS as well as Android, according to a BGR report.
 
The first app named as “WhatsApp Stickers – Telegram” with package name of “org.telegram.wastickers.bestof” indicate that these stickers are the best from the lot. The other app named as “WhatsApp Stickers – Halloween” is to mark the celebration of Halloween. 
 
If we look at name of the apps as well as their description, the company seems to have indicated to launch festival-centric sticker pack apps soon. Both the apps have 10 sticker packs each, and the app screenshots showcase a conversation that focusses on different features that give Telegram an upper hand than WhatsApp.
 
Notably, Telegram has also posted a detailed blog post with the title “Telegram Stickers for Everyone” stating that it was cool with its sticker packs being used on other platforms. 
 
The report said that primary reason to launch Stickers on WhatsApp was because both Telegram and WhatsApp use the “exact same sticker format”.
 
However, Telegram has not said anything about “certain conditions” to be followed to permit its sticker packs' availability on other platforms, for free. Rather, it added that interested developers can contact the team for exact details.

WhatsApp blog said, "We've also added support for third-party sticker packs to allow designers and developers around the world to create stickers for WhatsApp. To do this, we've included a set of APIs and interfaces that allow you to build sticker apps that add stickers to WhatsApp on Android or iOS. You can publish your sticker app like any other app to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and users who download and install your app will be able to start sending those stickers right from within WhatsApp."

To use stickers in a chat, simply tap the new sticker button and select the sticker you want to share. You can add new sticker packs by tapping the plus icon, the blog added.
