Taking to microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), WhatsApp said the feature is built on top of its Private Processing technology.</div>
Incognito Chat, it noted, lets users talk to Meta AI "in a way that is invisible to anyone else".
The platform did not say as to when users can expect to see the feature on their devices.

"Since we started exploring bringing AI to WhatsApp, we've been focused on how to deliver this power privately, at a global scale. We believe this private way of chatting has potential to be part of several ways people chat with AI on WhatsApp. In the coming months, we’ll also introduce Side Chat protected by Private Processing. Side Chat with Meta AI will give you private help with any chat, with context of what's being discussed, without disrupting the main conversation," it added. 
The imminent launch of the feature comes at a time when technology giants are exploring collaborations to up the ante on AI.

What Meta's Private Processing is all about
Meta's Private Processing technology is aimed at supporting "people’s needs and aspirations to leverage AI in a secure and privacy-preserving way. This confidential computing infrastructure, built on top of a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), will make it possible for people to direct AI to process their requests — like summarising unread WhatsApp threads or getting writing suggestions — in our secure and private cloud environment," according to the engineering.fb.com website. 
The newly-built technology will enable users to leverage powerful AI features while preserving WhatsApp’s core privacy promise. Meta claims that it will ensure that no one except the user and the people they are talking to can access or share their personal messages, "not even Meta or WhatsApp", according to the portal.  
Private Processing foundational requirements 
The technology is designed keeping the following in mind:
