The United States Department of Commerce has lifted export controls on Anthropic's frontier AI models, Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5, following a government review conducted in collaboration with the artificial intelligence company.
The announcement came shortly after US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick said the government had completed its evaluation of Anthropic's latest AI model, Fable 5.
"Over the past two weeks, we have worked closely with Anthropic to analyze and approve Fable 5 to ensure alignment across the US Government and strengthen America's leadership in AI," Lutnick said in a post on X.
