Sony Xperia XZ3 likely to be launched at IFA 2018

The new device will have dual rear camera setup comprising a 19MP primary sensor with a f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP secondary sensor with a f/1.6 aperture, said the report, adding that the camera setup on the Xperia XZ3 remains the same as the one on XZ2 Premium released earlier this year. After unveiling Xperia XZ2 at the Mobile World Conference 2018, technology company Sony is busy working on Xperia XZ3, which is expected to be launched at IFA 2018, in Germany. Sony's new phone will have top-end Snapdragon 845, along with the IP68 rating, which will make the device splash and dust resistant, said a TelecomTalk report, adding Xperia XZ3's screen is likely to have the standard 18:9 aspect ratio.

Citing info from Chinese blog Sumahoinfo, the report said that the dual SIM phone will have Android 8.1 Oreo, with a 5.7-inch Full HD+ screen along with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution display. Besides, Sony Xperia XZ3 will also boast of Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with the Adreno 630 GPU and 6GB of RAM.

The new phone reportedly features a 13MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture on the front for selfies. The new smartphone is likely to debut in two variants– one with 64GB storage and the other with 128GB of storage, but both the models will reportedly come with expandable storage option up to 400GB through a MicroSD card.

The connectivity options available on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C, besides a 3240mAh powerful battery accompanied by Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Xperia XZ2 was packed with a 3180mAh battery.

Further, TelecomTalk report said that the new phone measures 153x72x10.1mm, while XZ2 measured 153x72x11.1mm, adding that so far there is no update on the price of the upcoming smartphone.
