OnePlus Nord 5: OnePlus is all set to launch the Nord 5 series in India next week. The consumer electronics manufacturer said it will reveal the price of the OnePlus Nord 5 and the OnePlus Nord CE5 on Tuesday, July 8. Ahead of the official launch, the company has revealed several key details about its upcoming phones, including camera, battery, and chipset. Here's what we know so far -

When will the OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE5 be launched in India?

The Nord 5 series is set to launch on July 8 at 2 pm IST. The series includes two smartphones — OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE5. According to the company, this "series marks a significant leap forward in mid-range smartphone performance, making flagship-grade power accessible to consumers." Additionally, the company will also launch OnePlus Buds 4 on the same day.

OnePlus Nord CE5: Chipset

The OnePlus Nord CE5 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset, built on TSMC’s advanced 4nm process and based on the latest Armv9 architecture, the company revealed. The octa-core CPU features four high-performance Cortex-A715 cores clocked at up to 3.35GHz, paired with four power-efficient cores.

For graphics, the chipset includes a 6-core Mali-G615 GPU, which delivers up to a 60 per cent boost in peak GPU performance while reducing power consumption by 55%, according to the company.

OnePlus Nord CE5: Battery

One of the standout features of the Nord CE5 is its 7,100 mAh battery — a capacity usually reserved for tablets. To complement this massive battery, the device supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, capable of charging from 1 per cent to 100 per cent in just 59 minutes. Additionally, a quick 10-minute charge can power over 6 hours of YouTube streaming, the company said.

OnePlus Nord 5: Camera details

Building on OnePlus' legacy of innovative camera technology, the OnePlus Nord 5 will come equipped with a 50 + 50 MP camera along with flagship-grade camera sensors on both the front and rear, the company revealed today on June 24. It said the rear camera will be equipped with the advanced LYT-700 sensor, which was previously exclusive to the flagship OnePlus 13 series. The front camera will also mark a significant upgrade with the all-new 50MP JN5 sensor typically found in premium flagship devices, it added.

OnePlus Nord 5 Camera: Notable features

According to the company, the camera will feature

• Advanced LivePhoto Technology: The OnePlus Nord 5 will bring an upgraded LivePhoto functionality with Ultra HDR support, capturing 3-second motion shots with exceptional clarity. It will record 1.5 seconds before and after the shutter press, rendering the cover photo in Ultra HDR quality. 
• 4K Video Capture: The OnePlus Nord 5 will also bring support for 4K video recording at 60fps for both the front and rear camera.

OnePlus Nord 5 to feature the Snapdragon 8-Series chipset

Ahead of the official launch, the company revealed that the OnePlus Nord 5 will be powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, featuring a 4nm architecture and flagship Kryo CPU, paired with LPDDR5X RAM. With this, the OnePlus Nord 5 will become the first device in the Nord series to feature a Snapdragon 8-Series chipset.

OnePlus Buds 4

The upcoming OnePlus Buds 4 will offer dual drivers, dual DAC, high-res LHDC 5.0, 3D audio, and will be available in two colour options: Zen Green and Storm Grey. For gamers, it will offer 47ms ultra-low latency in Game Mode.

OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE5: Availability

The OnePlus Nord 5, OnePlus Buds 4, and the OnePlus Nord CE5 will be available for purchase starting July 9 and July 12, respectively.
