Nothing Phone (3a) Series Launched: Nothing has recently upgraded its mid-range lineup with the launch of the Phone (3a) Series in the Indian market. Building on the acclaimed Phone (2a), this new series offers an advanced triple-camera system with optical zoom, a powerful Snapdragon processor, innovations in Nothing OS, and much more, said the company. If you're considering upgrading to the Nothing Phone (3a) or Phone (3a) Pro, here are five key features to be aware of:
1. Camera
The Phone (3a) Series introduces Nothing's most advanced camera system to date. It boasts a 50MP main sensor, a Sony ultra-wide sensor, and optical zoom for the first time. Powered by the TrueLens Engine 3.0, which combines advanced computational algorithms, AI processing, and multi-frame technology, it delivers professional-grade, true-to-life photography, as stated in the company's official release.
2. Performance
The devices are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, Qualcomm Adreno GPU, and Snapdragon Elite Gaming features. With the RAM Booster, users can access up to 20GB of RAM by combining physical and virtual memory. Additionally, a larger 4,500 mm² vapor chamber reduces the temperature by 23 per cent compared to the Phone (2a), ensuring better performance and thermal management.
3. Battery and Charging
Both the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro come with large 5000mAh batteries that offer up to two days of use on a full charge, the company claimed. Fast charging has been upgraded to 50W, providing 50 per cent charge in under 20 minutes. With the optimised Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 mobile platform using 8 per cent less power for typical tasks, users can enjoy an extra 30 minutes of daily usage.
4. Nothing OS
Built on Android 15, Nothing OS 3.1 introduces updates to apps like Nothing Gallery, Camera, and Weather. Additionally, the Phone (3a) Series offers a new level of personalisation, with options to reduce distractions using a monochrome theme, hide app labels for a cleaner home screen, and customise the lock screen and quick settings. The Essential Key, located on the right side of the device, provides quick access to the Essential Space feature.
5. Updates for 6 Years
The Phone (3a) Series promises updates for a total of six years, including three years of Android updates and six years of security updates. Additionally, users will receive corrective and functionality updates, ensuring the device stays up-to-date for an extended period.
What is Essential Space (Early Access)?
Essential Space is a new AI-powered hub that helps users capture, organize, and recall notes, ideas, and inspirations with ease. It acts like a second memory, processing and storing content efficiently. To make this feature easily accessible, Nothing has introduced the Essential Key.
