New WhataApp feature is here! This is what it does - Check how it functions
It has become a habit for most of us to watch the WhatsApp Status of your contacts, but at the same time, you do not want everyone else to know that you’ve been keeping an eye on what they are posting.
The popular messaging app, WhatsApp is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to making its services more exciting. WhatsApp has been introducing various features but the 24-hour disappearing status feature on its platform is the most common and loved one. The WhatsApp status feature was introduced in the year 2017. This feature gave users new ways to share what’s happening in their lives through images, GIFs, font messages, videos etc. It has become a habit for most of us to watch the WhatsApp Status of your contacts, but at the same time, you do not want everyone else to know that you’ve been keeping an eye on what they are posting.
Now, in the latest feature update, WhatsApp lets you hide your view on those status posts while you are still able to see each one of them. Here’s how you can see your friend’s WhatsApp Status posts even without giving them any information about it:-
1. Go to WhatsApp settings
2. Navigate to the Account tab
3. Tap Privacy and scroll down to Read Receipts option
4. Click on option "off" to stop people from seeing your name from seen WhatsApp status and seen chats.
By this option, the App will also hide views on your Status posts so you will not able to see who all have viewed your WhatsApp Status.
Additionally, WhatsApp is now adding a new functionality wherein a notification for an audio message from contact can be played right there from the pop-up box. After this, there will be no need to open the app to listen to the audio file, even the voice messages.
