Apple is set to unveil the new line up of iPhones on September 10 during a launch event in the US which will begin at around 10:30PM IST. While the iPhone lovers eagerly wait for the new devices, the discussions around them revolve, not just around the specs, but around the price. The tech giant has been consistently raising the Apple iPhone prices over the last few years. It has even drawn criticism for the same and the big question is - Will the iPhone prices go down this year? It is being hazarded that the new iPhones may even come with a discount that is nearly 50%! That is exactly what certain reports are quoting experts as saying. Notably, this will be quite to the contrary of what Apple has been doing so far, which is, iPhones that have come after the first one, have been mostly launched with a massive price hike, especially the 'Plus' versions.
Rumours have suggested that this year's iPhones will be named iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, succeeding the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, respectively. All the three smartphones in 2019 will be powered by Apple’s A13 chip, will support Face ID, feature Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, as well as bilateral wireless charging.
The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are likely to feature 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED screens, respectively. Both will support the Apple Pencil, and feature a 12-megapixel front camera. The iPhone 11 Pro price is expected to start at $999 (~Rs 71,860), the iPhone 11 Pro Max may cost around $1,099 (~Rs 79,050). At $749 (~Rs 53,880), the iPhone 11 will be the most affordable smartphone of the lot.

It will come with a 6.1-inch LCD screen, 4GB RAM and a 3,110mAh battery. The device is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the back but will not have support for the Apple Pencil. Remember, these are just speculated prices and the official cost would be revealed at the launch event itself.
A recent leak has suggested that Apple might move from the Lightning port to USB-C with the new iPhone 11 series. The pre-orders of these devices is set to begin on September 13 while the devices will go on sale on September 20, making it the first time that all three models are launched simultaneously.
Apple is also expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 5 at the launch event. Apart from this, it is likely to host another event later this year for the new MacBooks and iPads.
