Motorola Razr Fold Launched: Motorola has launched its first foldable smartphone in India – the Motorola Razr Fold – at a starting price of Rs 1,49,999. According to the company, the device features the world's best foldable camera system, which has been "recognised with the DXOMARK Gold Label for imaging excellence." Along with the phone, the company has also introduced the Moto Buds 2 Plus in two colours.
The smartphone comes with Diamond Pique- and Satin-Luxe-inspired finishes in Pantone-selected colours, along with IP48 and IP49 durability. Furthermore, it features an ultra-thin, unfolded profile of 4.6mm and a lightweight, foldable design weighing 240g.
This foldable smartphone features the world's only triple 50MP pro-grade foldable camera system, comprising advanced Sony LYTIA 828 and Sony LYTIA 600 cameras, powered by Moto AI technology. The main sensor is accompanied by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 periscope camera with 3x optical zoom and 100x Super Zoom Pro, and a 50MP Ultra-Wide + Macro Vision camera. For selfies, the device features a 20MP outside front camera and a 32MP inside selfie camera with Quad Pixel technology.
Additional camera features include frame match, Instagram HDR, active photos, video horizon lock, audio zoom, adaptive stabilisation, hyperlapse, long Exposure mode, air gesture control, and full integration with Google Photos AI tools — including magic eraser, photo unblur, magic editor, and more.
Moto AI smart features include a photo enhancement engine, a video enhancement engine with the industry’s first dual tone mapping, adaptive stabilisation, super zoom pro (up to 100x), and dynamic bokeh.
The phone houses 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W TurboPower charging and 50W wireless charging. The company claims that the phone is capable of delivering "over 43 hours of battery life on a single charge without compromising performance." It also supports 5W reverse charging for earbuds, smartwatches, and other compatible accessories
The Motorola Razr Fold features an 8.1-inch 2K Extreme AMOLED main display and a 6.6-inch Extreme AMOLED external display. The external display has a 165Hz LTPO refresh rate and a peak brightness of 6,200 nits on the main display. It is also designed with a Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 outer layer and an Ultra Thin Glass inner layer.
This newly launched phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8th Gen 5 processor. It also has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Running on Hello UI based on Android 16, the Motorola Razr fold comes with a promise of 7 years of Android OS and 7 years of security updates.
