American multinational technology company Google will now save people from the trouble of installing an additional app on their smartphones to order food. Now, you can directly order food online via Search, Maps, or Google Assistant. Now, the users can get a new option "Order Online" button on Search and Maps which would appear when users would search for a supported restaurant. Users can select the service option between pickup and delivery their food through. As per a report by Verge, if the restaurant supports the ordering selections, the service would be made entirely through Google`s interface and Google Pay.
Users will also get an option to repeat a previous order through Google Assistant. So far it is unclear whether the feature would work on Google Assistant-enabled smart speakers or smart displays or not. It has also been said that this new functionality supports five different delivery services at launch - DoorDash, Postmates, Delivery.com, Slice, and ChowNow - and Google plans to add support for Zuppler and others in the future.
To make the services easier to the user, Google has revamped the Search interface for mobile with a new design that would help mobile users better understand which information is coming from where and what are they looking for.
Recently, the search engine giant also added a new travel portal in which the travel portal adds all of the features and options into a single webpage where you can book flights and hotels in the same go. This portal also helps you to see your upcoming trips, and scroll through all of the previous vacations and getaways from past.
