Charge your smartphone in just 10 minutes? Xiaomi looks to power you up

If you are not happy about the time it takes to charge your smartphone, there's good news for you on the way! Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi is reportedly working on ultra-fast charging technology that will charge mobile phones in just 10 minutes. The company is working on a 200W fast charging technology. Xiaomi is also working on two smartphones with 67W wireless charging.

Popular Chinese Tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed Xiaomi is testing this new technology in the lab and it is expected to be launched in 2021 itself. Xiaomi is preparing to launch its new Mi Foldable Phone. It is being claimed that this 200W fast charging will be introduced for the first time in this new phone, DNA reported.

Earlier, a report from GizmoChina revealed that Chinese microblogging website the Weibo post said that the 200W fast charging capabilities included wired, wireless, and even reverse charging altogether.

The company already has the Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition which offers up to 120W wired charging, as well as 55W wireless charging and up to 10W reverse charging speeds. This adds up to about 185 watts.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi recently announced an 80W Mi Wireless charging technology. As per the company, this technology is said to charge a 4000mAh battery by 10 per cent in a minute and by 50 per cent in 8 minutes and by 100 per cent in 19 minutes wirelessly.
