Apple has increased the prices of several products in India, including MacBook, iPad, HomePod and Mac models, amid rising memory and storage chip costs and growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled devices.
Several premium models have become costlier by Rs 25,000 to Rs 1 lakh, according to the latest prices.
The MacBook Air (512GB) now costs Rs 1,49,000 compared with Rs 1,19,000 earlier, reflecting an increase of Rs 30,000. The MacBook Neo price has been increased to Rs 79,900 from Rs 69,900.

The 11-inch iPad Pro price has increased to Rs 1,39,000 from Rs 99,900, marking a rise of Rs 39,100. Several high-end MacBook and iPad models have witnessed price increases ranging from Rs 25,000 to nearly Rs 1 lakh.

Apple has also increased the prices of its smart speaker products. The HomePod now costs Rs 44,900 compared with the earlier price of Rs 32,900, an increase of Rs 12,000. The HomePod Mini price has been raised to Rs 15,900 from Rs 10,900, up by Rs 5,000.
The latest increase covers products across computing, tablet and audio categories. Apple had also increased prices of several products, including MacBooks, iPads, HomePods and Apple TV devices, on June 25, 2026.
Apple said the increase in prices was linked to higher memory and storage chip costs. According to media reports, the company cited a sharp increase in the prices of DRAM and NAND chips.
The demand for these chips has increased due to the expansion of artificial intelligence applications and data centres. Global AI data centres have been increasing purchases of memory and storage chips, resulting in tighter supply and higher costs.
Industry trends indicate that AI-enabled devices require higher RAM and storage capacity, increasing demand for advanced memory components. Apart from component costs, factors such as rupee depreciation, import duties and taxes have also contributed to the increase in product prices in India.
Apple has been expanding artificial intelligence features across its products. Several AI capabilities are expected to be introduced through software updates. Industry observers believe higher memory and storage requirements for AI features could increase hardware costs in premium devices.
Some reports have indicated that the impact of rising component costs may also extend to future premium products.
The increase in Apple product prices has also brought focus on Redington Ltd. Redington has been a key Apple distributor in India since 2007. The company handles logistics, warehousing and distribution operations for Apple products in the country.
Around 30-34 per cent of Redington's global revenue comes from Apple products. The company is also a major authorised Apple distributor in the Middle East and Africa. Redington plays a key role in the distribution of Apple products across multiple markets.
Its shares had gained around 5 per cent during the previous week. Apple's latest price increase has put the spotlight on companies linked to its distribution and supply chain operations, including Redington.
