The growing presence of Apple's production in India is expected to benefit distribution companies – those involved in supply chain management and distribution.

One of these companies is Redington (India) Ltd. Since 2007, the company has been a major distributor of Apple technology.

It handles a significant portion of Apple's logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations.

The company supplies Apple products to an extensive network of resellers and retailers spanning the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and South Asia. And that makes it is a key partner in Apple's regional supply chain.

With the rapid increase in iPhone production, it is expected that higher volumes of products will be sold through distribution channels, which could improve revenue prospects for Redington.

iPhones Become India’s Top Export Item

According to industry data released last week, the iPhone became India's most valuable export item in 2025, with devices worth $23 billion manufactured in India, mostly to the United States.

Apple alone contributed about 76 per cent of the total smartphone exports from the country, showing the company’s strong presence in India’s electronics manufacturing sector.

Apple’s Expanding Manufacturing Ecosystem

Apple currently operates five iPhone assembly plants throughout the country. Three plants operate under Tata Group companies, while Foxconn, one of Apple’s main global manufacturing partners, manages the remaining two facilities. The factories receive support from a supply chain that includes about 45 companies that provide components for both domestic production and export purposes, including multiple micro, small, and medium enterprises.
