After Mitron, Remove China Apps taken down from Google Play Store
Google Play Store has pulled down ‘Remove China Apps’ from the platform, after removing Mitron, the so-called India rival for TikTok. While Mitron was removed after Google found some vulnerabilities in the platform, the reason behind removal of Remove China Apps is still not clear. The app can no more be found on Google Play Store but the tech giant is yet to give an official word on the same.
The removal of the app was also confirmed by its Jaipur-based developer OneTouchAppLabs. The developer took to Twitter to announce that the app has been suspended from Play store. However, even the firm didn’t confirm why the app has been removed.
“Google has suspended our #RemoveChinaApps from google play store. Thank you all for your support in past 2 weeks. "You Are Awesome" TIP Its easy to find the origin of any app by searching on google by typing <AppName> origin country Stay Tuned !! Stay Safe!!” the tweet read.

Google usually removes apps from its platform if they are found to violate Play Store’s polices or have some vulnerabilities. The same happened to Mitron. The app was suspended for violating Google’s ‘spam and minimum functionality’ policy”. “
Notably, if you have the Remove China Apps application already downloaded on your phone it will still work. The app scans your smartphone to find out which apps have their roots in China. The users can uninstall such apps at one go from their smartphones. Over one million people in India installed the application on their phone with the aim to delete Chinese apps present on their smartphones.
Its popularity was so huge that, at one point in time, it was the top-free app on Play Store.
