Shark Tank India Season 4: This startup secures Rs 1 crore on for affordable autism detection

AI.gnosis, a healthcare startup focused on autism detection, captured attention in Shark Tank India Season 4 for its innovative approach to addressing a critical issue in child development.

Autism symptoms typically appear by age 2, and early detection is crucial for effective intervention. AI.gnosis offers a solution to detect autism early, helping children reach their full potential.

AI.gnosis provides a simple, cost-effective autism screening for just Rs 700, taking only five minutes to complete, compared to the standard 2-3 hour test costing around Rs 5,000.

Divyansh Mangal and Rakshit Jain, the founders, come from strong medical and technical backgrounds. Rakshit holds a B.Tech in AI, while Divyansh pursued advanced research in AI and quantum theory.

Divyansh’s desire to create a significant social impact led him to co-found AI.gnosis after realizing that his previous research had limited practical applications.

AI.gnosis is supported by top medical experts, including Dr. S. Sitaraman, Vice Chancellor of the Indian College of Pediatrics, who has validated the company’s approach.

The company operates on a B2B model, collaborating with 250 medical centers to provide detailed autism reports, consultations, and therapy plans, making the solution scalable and accessible.

The founders sought Rs 50 lakh in funding for 4% equity, which garnered interest from three sharks. They eventually secured Rs 1 crore for 8% equity from Aman Gupta, Varun Alagh and Piyush Bansal.

Aman Gupta lauded the startup’s initiative, stating that the founders should be awarded by the government for solving such a crucial societal issue.

AI.gnosis aims to revolutionize the way autism is detected and treated in India, making healthcare more affordable, accessible, and impactful, while empowering children with early intervention.
