He added that the startups will also have the opportunity to learn about scaling up globally and forming alliances for them to give them a competitive advantage.

These include names like Adnabu, Pushngage, Discover Dollar Technologies, Squadrun and Uncanny Vision solutions among others.

The programme will be held from May 2-7, 2016.

"The startups that have been chosen work across the spectrum -- Internet of Things, gaming, healthcare, fin-tech, sports-tech. These companies have products that can be scaled globally and being in the Silicon

Valley is a great opportunity to connect with the right people," Tandon said.

The participants will visit incubation centres and get an opportunity to hear speakers like Tesla CIO Jay Vijayan and Microsoft Ventures General Manager Scott Coleman among others as part of the event.

"In the first year, we chose 25 startups. Last year, there were 34 and this year, we have 39. These are early stage and growth stage startups," he said.

The objective is also to showcase some of the best startups to the Silicon Valley and to invite them to come over, he added.
