Ahmedabad is set to get a major technology and business boost with the launch of Phase-1 of Million Minds Tech City, a large integrated tech park and mixed-use development project by Ganesh Housing near the GIFT City corridor in Gujarat.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the first phase of the project, which is being developed as Gujarat’s first IGBC Platinum-rated SEZ IT Park and integrated tech city.
The project aims to attract Global Capability Centres (GCCs), IT companies and startups while creating nearly 70,000 high-skill jobs across different phases of development in Ahmedabad.
Million Minds Tech City is a large integrated tech and business project coming up near Vaishnodevi Circle on the GIFT City-Gandhinagar corridor in Ahmedabad.
The Ganesh Housing project is being developed on a “city within city” model and will be completed in seven phases with a planned investment of around Rs 15,000 crore.
It is also Gujarat’s first IGBC Platinum-rated SEZ IT Park and integrated tech city project.
The project is expected to become a major hub for IT firms, startups and Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
Million Minds Tech City aims to create around 70,000 high-skill jobs across different phases of development, making it one of Gujarat’s biggest upcoming employment-focused tech projects.
Officials said nearly 9,000 high-skill jobs are expected to be generated in the first phase itself.
The project is being positioned as a major destination for GCCs, technology companies and AI-driven businesses looking to expand in India.
Speaking at the launch event, Amit Shah said India will require a large number of high-tech professionals in sectors such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deep tech in the coming years.
Million Minds Tech City will include commercial office towers, residential projects and lifestyle infrastructure within a single integrated ecosystem.
The project’s M-One premium office tower has 15 floors with around 42,000 sq ft carpet area on each floor and 4.2-metre ceiling height designed for modern corporate workspaces.
The larger development plan also includes nearly 20 lakh sq ft retail, hospitality and lifestyle infrastructure.
Developers said the project has been designed to offer flexible office spaces and integrated urban infrastructure for technology and corporate firms.
A major highlight of Million Minds Tech City is its strategic location near S.G. Highway and the GIFT City corridor.
The project offers direct connectivity to GIFT City, Ahmedabad international airport and major corporate hubs, including Zydus and Adani offices.
The location is expected to help attract multinational companies, GCC investments and global technology firms to Gujarat.
At the inauguration event, Amit Shah said Gujarat’s industrial growth journey since 2002 has been significant, with increasing focus on technology and service sectors.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has placed strong emphasis on GCCs, technology parks and innovation-led growth.
Shah also highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence, deep tech and high-skill education for India’s future economic growth.
A real estate-focused educational institution was also inaugurated during the event.
Officials said the institute will be expanded across 100 acres with an investment of around Rs 500 crore.
The initiative aims to strengthen education and research in urban planning, infrastructure and real estate development.
