The members are struggling to open the official EPFO Passbook website to check things related to their accounts. But if a member wants to check their provident fund (PF) balance without internet, they can do so by sending an SMS or giving a missed call.

How to check PF balance using SMS service
You only need to send an SMS from your registered number. To do this, your KYC must be completed.
Steps to send SMS
Send an SMS to 7738299899 using 'EPFOHO UAN LAN' format.
Replace UAN with your 12-digit Universal Account Number.
Replace LAN with the first three letters of your preferred language.
How to check PF balance using missed call service
To avail this service, your mobile number must be activated with UAN at the Unified Portal.
Steps to use the missed call service
Dial 9966044425 number, and the call will automatically be disconnected.
Then you will receive an SMS with your PF balance.
There will be no charges for a missed call.
