Bank Holidays in September: The bank customers must note that the banks will remain closed this month for certain days in different cities on the occasion of bank holidays. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issues a list of holidays for the banks in different cities. On these days, the bank customers must note that they will not be able to withdraw and deposit money at the bank branches.

Bank holidays on September 8, 9, 10 and 11

The banks will remain closed on September 8, 2021, on the occasion of Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva in Guwahati.  On September 9, 2021, the banks will remain closed on the occasion of Teej (Haritalika) in Gangtok. The banks will remain closed on September 10, 2021, on the occasions of Ganesh Chaturthi/Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha)/Vinayakar Chathurthi/Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vrata in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur and Panaji. Bank holidays on September 17, 20 and 21

The banks will remain closed on September 17, 2021 due to Karma Puja in Ranchi. Again, the banks will remain closed on September 20, 2021 because of  Indrajatra in Gangtok. On September 21, the banks will remain closed on the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. Source: PTI

It can be noted that online banking services will continue to operate on holidays as well. Bank customers will not be able to withdraw and deposit money at the bank branches due to the holidays. However, ATMs, mobile banking will also be available during these days. Source: PTI
