1/14After its announcement in January 2025, the central government is yet to establish the 8th Pay Commission. Though it advertised vacancies for the 8th CPC members, it is yet to come up with an announcement of their names. Once the pay commission is formed, it will prepare a report, submit it, and get it approved by the Cabinet. The cabinet may suggest a few changes or may pass the report as it is.
2/14The fitment factor for the 6th Pay Commission was 1.92, and for the 7th, it is 2.57. There are many projections for the 8th CPC fitment factor. Various estimates suggest it can be in the 1.92-2.86 range.
