The government has amended the rule that sought minimum qualifying service of 10 years to avail pension. In a significant development recently, the Ministry of Personnel has done away with the minimum qualifying service of 10 years for pension, if a government employee is incapacitated due to bodily or medical infirmity and retired from government service, said a statement issued by the Personnel Ministry.  Source: Reuters
