7th Pay Commission: Employees working with central as well as state governments have received many benefits this month. These are being announced virtually on a daily basis for one section of the employees to another. This will really make for a very SPECIAL Diwali for them for sure. In fact, the news of hikes in 7th pay commission based allowances has been so frequent, many have missed them. So, if you happen to have missed any such important news, we list the top ones here. The first gift was a 5% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA). Also, several states follow the practice of giving bonus on Diwali-Chhath including Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. 7th Pay Commission Travel allowance hike

The central government has also increased the 7th pay commission based travel allowance (TA) of 52 lakh government employees along with dearness allowance (DA). These employees will now get 5% DA on fixed TA according to cities they are posted with. With this benefit, the salary of government employees will be increased from Rs 540 to Rs 4320 annually, and most benefitted are the employees in Tier 1 cities.
