7th Pay Commission latest news today: Dearness Allowance of central government employees has finally been declared! Yes, employees have received a big gift before Diwali this year. Modi government has increased the dearness allowance (DA) of employees and pensioners by 5 per cent, which is by far the biggest benefit for central employees. There are over 1.1 crore central employees and pensioners who will be directly benefitted. In the meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it was decided to increase DA (dearness allowance) of government employees. This time the DA has been increased by 5% and with this increase, the salary of the employees getting 7th pay commission pay scale will get an increase from Rs 900 to Rs 12,500 per month.

Harishankar Tiwari, Former Chairman of the AG Office Brotherhood, told Zee Business Digital that AICPI figures have increased between January and June 2019. The DA for June was 17.09% which is more than 5% as compared to December. That is why the government has increased it by that amount now.
