7th Pay Commission, 7th CPC latest news today: Diwali season is upon us and celebrations are breaking out across the country. The same applies to central government employees and certain state government employees. A number of pending 7th Pay Commission based allowances have been cleared for them and their salaries will jump with more money being poured into their bank accounts. These 7th CPC based announcements will surely add further gaiety to the fest.

Recently, the central government doubled celebration spirit of over one crore central government employees as well as pensioners with its announcement of 5 per cent dearness allowance (DA) hike, several state governments has also extended these benefits to their state employees ahead of Diwali. The key states that have followed the example of Centre are Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand, where the festive spirit of employees have boosted with the state government announcements. The Uttar Pradesh government has also taken another decision of providing the doctors of state medical colleges the 7th Pay Commission benefits. Now, 1300 doctors along with other staff of 13 government hospitals in Uttar Pradesh will get arrears from January 1, 2016. Under the 7th CPC benefit, junior resident's salary will increase from Rs 65,000 to Rs 86,000 in a month, while senior resident's salary will now be raised from Rs 80,000 to Rs 1.2 lakh a month. Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, has said that the state government will soon give Diwali and Chhath Puja gifts to government employees, adding that the employees will get 5 per cent additional Dearness Allowance along with the salary for the month of October. Dearness Relief for pensioners to has been hiked. Accordingly, the guidelines have been issued to start giving salary from October 25, before Diwali and Chhath Puja. Normally, the salary of the employees comes on the first date of the month, but in view of two big festivals it has been decided to give it in advance. With the 5 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) hike announced by the Central government, the Jharkhand government has also decided to extend Diwali gift to its employees. Chief Minister Raghubar Das announced to give 5 per cent DA to the Jharkhand government Employees, and the same would be applicable from 1st July 2019. The decision to this effect was taken in the recent state cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Raghuvar Das. As per the announcement, Jharkhand State Government employees will get the DA hike from 1st July 2019, which means they will get three months arrears (July, August and September) when their October Salary gets credited in their salary account. Ahead of Diwali, Uttar Pradesh state government on Tuesday has approved enhanced dearness allowance for non-gazetted officials. Releasing the government order, dated October 15, 2019, Additional chief secretary Sanjiv Mittal said the government employees, work charge employees, and those working with aided educational institutions, technical education institutions, urban local bodies and district panchayats in the Rs 47,600-Rs 1,51,100 7th CPC matrix level--in pay scale of Rs 4,800 before pay commission revision, would get 30 days ad hoc bonus subject to a maximum of Rs 7,000. With the latest announcement of DA hike by the central government, the salary of employees as well as pensioners has increased from Rs 540 to Rs 4320 annually. The recent dearness allowance hike also enhanced the travel allowance (TA), and these central employees will now receive 5 percent DA on the fixed TA according to their salary and the city they are posted with. The employees posted in Tier 1 cities have benefited the most, as their salaries have increased from Rs 810 to Rs 4320 annually, while those posted in Tier 2 and other cities will also get an increased salary from Rs 540 to Rs 2160 annually. Over one crore central government employees as well as pensioners will get 5 per cent DA, which is the highest in the last three years. Their monthly salary will increase from Rs 900 to Rs 12,500. According to grade pay and scale under the 7th Pay Commission recommendations, this hike has also facilitated other benefits to them. Till now, the central government employees were getting 12 per cent DA, which has been increased up to 17 per cent after H-2 2019 DA hike inclusion, and their monthly salary would also increase from Rs 900 to Rs 12,500 as per their grade pay and scale under 7th Pay Commission system.
