SBI Mutual Fund SIP Calculator: There are several online mutual fund SIP calculators that give you an idea of how much may be needed to be invested for the desired lump sum over a period of time. The SBI Mutual Fund is also offering an online SIP calculator which you may like to use for making an approximate calculation of the amount you may need to invest per month to achieve a desired financial goal. SIP, or  Systematic Investment Plan, is considered to be a disciplined approach for mutual fund investment. The SBI Mutual Fund website describes: "SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) - is one of the most disciplined approaches to investments in mutual funds. It lets you set aside a fixed sum of money at regular intervals (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) with an objective to generate capital appreciation in the longer run. SIP investment inculcates the habit of savings, the best way to save regularly without fail is to make your Salary Day as your SIP date." 

With the help of SBI Mutual Fund SIP calculator, here we are showing how much one may need to invest per month to reach a lump sum of Rs 1 crore, Rs 50 lakh, Rs 20 lakh, Rs 10 lakh and Rs 5 lakh in 10 years: 

Rs 1 crore in 10 years

At an expected rate of 12% return, the SBI Mutual Fund SIP Calculator shows one may need to invest Rs 43,041 per month to reach Rs 1 crore in 10 years. 

Rs 50 lakh in 10 years

At an expected rate of 12% return, the SBI Mutual Fund SIP Calculator shows one may need to invest Rs 21,520 per month to reach Rs 50 lakh in 10 years. 

Rs 20 lakh in 10 years

At an expected rate of 12% return, the SBI Mutual Fund SIP Calculator shows one may need to invest Rs 8,608 per month to reach Rs 20 lakh in 10 years. 

Rs 10 lakh in 10 years

At an expected rate of 12% return, the SBI Mutual Fund SIP Calculator shows one may need to invest Rs 4,304 per month to reach Rs 10 lakh in 10 years. 

Rs 5 lakh in 10 years

At an expected rate of 12% return, the SBI Mutual Fund SIP Calculator shows one may need to invest Rs 2,152 per month to reach Rs 5 lakh in 10 years. 

Before investing in mutual funds, investors should read the SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) guidelines. SEBI defines Mutual Fund as " a mechanism for pooling money by issuing units to the investors and investing funds in securities in accordance with objectives as disclosed in offer document."
