ELSS, or Equity Linked Savings Scheme, is a tax-saving mutual fund and has a lock-in period of three years. Taxpayers can avail of the ELSS tax benefits under Section 80C that are available in the old tax regime. They can claim a deduction of up to Rs 1,50,000.
