Credit card issuer SBI Card has announced a number of changes related to its insurance and online shopping benefits under select cards. The Gurugram-headquartered company has revised its rules for two categories of cards: the SimplyCLICK SBI Credit Card, and the SBI-Air India series of cards. Read on to learn about these revisions in detail.
SBI Card will now offer 5X reward points on transactions made using the SimplyCLICK SBI Card on the Swiggy platform, according to information available on SBI Card's website, sbicard.com.
However, the credit card provider has maintained the existing structure for its rewards on purchases made on platforms such as Apollo 24X7, BookMyShow, Cleartrip, Dominos, IGP, Myntra, Netmeds and Yatra.
"Accrual of 10X reward points on online spends at Swiggy with SimplyCLICK SBI Card will be revised to 5X reward points w.e.f. 1st APR’25. Your card will continue to accrue 10X reward points on online spends at Apollo 24X7, BookMyShow, Cleartrip, Dominos, IGP, Myntra, Netmeds and Yatra," SBI Card said.

SBI Card Revises Rules Related to Insurance Benefits
The complimentary Air Accident insurance benefits of Rs 50 lakh and Rail Accident insurance coverage of Rs 10 lakh currently offered on SBI credit cards will be discontinued after July 26, 2025, according to the SBI Card website.
"With effect from 26th July’25 the complimentary Air Accident insurance coverage of Rs 50 lakhs and complimentary Rail Accident insurance coverage of Rs 10 lakhs currently offered on your card will be discontinued," SBI Card stated.

Online purchasing, reward points benefits revised for Air India SBI Card
After March 31, the Air India SBI Platinum Credit Card will offer 5 reward points on every Rs 100 spent for booking tickets through Air India's website or mobile app.
Similarly, the reward points benefit applicable to the Air India SBI Signature Credit Card will be revised to 10 points per Rs 100 spent, according to the SBI Card website.
